The 2018 Jaguar XF Sportbrake Elaborates on an Icon

The Jaguar XF has long been held as a standard of performance among midsize luxury sedans--but, as Jaguar's model offering is expanding, so are its models.

New for 2018, Jaguar is bringing over its long-backed sports wagon that's been available in Europe to the North American market. Even just a few years ago, that might have been a big shock to sports-car fans--but, with the recent additions of the Jaguar F-PACE, E-PACE, and upcoming I-PACE, the new 2018 XF Sportbrake is an easy new option.

This sleek luxury wagon is a more expensive option than its sedan sibling--starting at around $70,450--but it significantly increases interior volume, and comes well-equipped with power, capability, and features.

Under the hood, the new 2018 Jaguar XF Sportbrake provides power from a standard 3.0-liter supercharged V-6, which makes 380 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. This is not your classic station wagon.

Also standard--and the reason that the Jaguar XF Sportbrake finally made the trek to our shores--is Jaguar's Instinctive All-Wheel-Drive system.

What makes the Sportbrake such a particularly exciting option for the sports-car driver who isn't ready to make the leap to a SUV is the storage numbers: the 2018 Jaguar XF Sportbrake offers 37 cubic feet of space behind the second row, and almost a full 70 cubic feet of cargo room with the back row folded.

That's actually more than the Jaguar F-PACE.

A full panoramic glass roof, premium leather upholstery, intuitive touchscreen infotainment system, and host of driver-centric features round out the luxury amenities.
