The Jaguar XJ Gets Revived with Electric Power

As the flagship sedan for Jaguar, the Jaguar XJ has gone through eight generations spanning over fifty years. This class has gone up against some of the top models from top brands, like the Audi A8, BMW 7 Series, and Mercedes-Benz S-Class, but Jaguar knew it needed a redesign to jump ahead of the rest and to meet the new goals of Jaguar.

The New Vision by Jaguar

Jaguar is moving to give every model in its lineup an electric option for 2020. This has meant that most models have gotten a hybrid, except for the I-PACE which is all-electric, making the Jaguar XJ the second all-electric model that will be in the lineup. The electric powertrain and advanced features will help the Jaguar XJ jump ahead of the competition.

Details Are Sparse

While the goal is to have electric models by 2020, there is no release date for the all-new Jaguar XJ. This move towards all-electric is because of strict global emissions standards and that luxury brands have seen that all-electric models are some of the most exciting and sophisticated. This means the Jaguar XJ will come with a thrilling experience to compete with other popular brands like Tesla.
