2019 JAGUAR F-PACE IN CHARLOTTE

The 2019 F-PACE: Jaguar's Largest Luxury Performance SUV is a Leap into the Future of Crossover Design and Function

The Jaguar F-PACE luxury SUV was a major step for the nameplate of the pouncing jungle cat--a brand who had made its legacy from sleek sedans, breathtaking sports cars, and suave cabriolets, now taking the leap into the crossover SUV market. It wasn't a rare move among luxury brands, many of which were trying their hand at crafting luxury, high-performance SUVs, but Jaguar managed to do it better than any other. The new 2019 Jaguar F-PACE is a true testament to British design, innovation, and fortitude. The new Jaguar F-PACE is available in six trim levels (specification packs): F-PACE, PREMIUM, PRESTIGE, R-SPORT, S, and the F-PACE PORTFOLIO, which replaces the F-PACE First Edition model that we saw in the very first iteration of this performance crossover.

An Interior Fit for a Jaguar

The crossover may be a novel concept for the Jaguar brand, but interior comfort and suave luxury is not. The Jaguar F-PACE doesn't compromise an inch on classic British style for its larger SUV body. The cabin comfortably seats five passengers, offers versatile storage behind the rear seats, and has been optimized for ease of use. Despite the sleek and cutting look of the 2019 Jaguar F-PACE exterior, the storage area in this performance crossover is surprisingly spacious and helpful for daily driving or commuting. Behind the rear seats, drivers can store over 33 cubic feet of luggage or bags--nearly three times the storage capacity of a sedan's trunk. Optimize the 40/20/40 split rear seats for up to 63.5 cubic feet of cargo area.

World-Class Design with a Distinct, Smooth Finish

The F-PACE was inspired visually by the iconic Jaguar F-TYPE sports car--and while their bodies serve very different purposes, the similarities are there. And the 2019 F-PACE wears it well. Its well-muscled body and powerful rear are distinctive of the brand, while introducing groundbreaking new innovation. In fact, the exterior design of the new Jaguar F-PACE is what gave it the advantage to take home awards for both the 2017 World Car of the Year and the 2017 World Car Design of the Year--becoming only the second vehicle in history to claim a dual victory in this famous competition.

Powertrain Selections to Match to Your Driving Style

In classic Jaguar fashion, the new 2019 F-PACE doesn't hold back when it comes to engine options. Availability of options varies by trim level, but engines include a 296-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo four; a 180-horsepower four-cylinder diesel engine; a 380-horsepower 2.0-liter supercharged V6 engine; and a new, redesigned 247-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder Ingenium gas engine. Each offers a unique balance of performance, efficiency, and noise; Instinctive All-Wheel Drive is available on nearly all new F-PACE models. Ride height is significantly lifted for the new Jaguar F-PACE--understandably, its center of gravity is higher, and it cannot offer the same feel and sharpness as a model like the Jaguar XF or the Jaguar F-TYPE. It's pure science. However, that doesn't remove the F-PACE's ability to be agile, smooth, and quiet--except for the spine-tingling growl of the V6.

Smarter, With More Standard Features

A broad, 10" touchscreen, located centrally and supported by Jaguar's InControl Touch infotainment system, now comes standard across the full lineup, and gives you effortless access to audio, media, maps, safety features, and more. One of the big changes for the 2019 Jaguar F-PACE is in its safety and driver-assist technology--lane keep assist, driver attention monitoring, pre-collision braking, and parking sensors now come standard. The state-of-the-art adaptive cruise control is updated with a steering assist features, and the traffic sign recognition system expands its list of recognizable symbols.
